This tour takes you through the Great Gobi Desert, exploring some of the most remarkable and untouched parts of the globe. By picking this trip you will witness the central and southern parts of Mongolia which you will explore many natural attractions like Baga Gazriin Chuluu, Yol Valley, Khongor Sand Dunes. You will also able to visit the historical sites such as the Old capital city of Kharakhorin and the largest Buddhist Temple complex called Erdene Zuu and many more other places awaits your arrival.

Itinerary
Day 1 Visit in Ulaanbaatar
Arrival at the airport, meeting with our driver and guide. Transfer to your hotel, settling in and rest. We will take you in the restaurant. Let's immerse ourselves in the heart of the Mongolian history, in the wonderful National History Museum. Three floors of a rich, glorious, violent and noble past, from prehistory to Soviet period, including the creation of the great Mongolian Empire by Genghis Khan. Walk in the centre of Ulan-Bator. Discovery of Gengis Khan Square and the House of Parliament. Then Mongolian traditional show: folkloric dances, contortion, and of course khoomi, the overtone singing. Welcome dinner in Mongolian style restaurant. Overnight in the hotel. B/L/D
Day 2 Travel to Baga Gazriin chuluu
We will pick you up from your hotel and travel to Baga Gazriin Chuluu which will take 240 km from UB about 5-6hours. Baga Gazriin Chuluu is a picturesque mountain in elevation of 1,751 meters which is the Granite Belt of Mongolia. We will do the hiking session of 2-3hours. Overnight in host ger with local family and explore more about the nomadic life. B/L/D
Day 3 Travel to Tsagaan Suvraga
We will continue travel to Tsagaan Suvarga (about 240km for 5-6hours). Tsagaan Suvarga or White Stupa is 30-50 meters high white limestone formation which was created by the power of the winds sculpting this place for over thousands of years. We’ll sight see the surrounding area and hike around the place taking a suitable photo. We’ll be staying overnight in ger camp. B/L/D
Day 4 Travel to Yol Valley (Southern Mongolia )
We will drive to Yol Valley or Lammergeier Gorge about 220kms. The valley itself is over 10kms long and due to the splendid high cliff walls. Some parts of Yol valley are completely shaded from the sun. We will hike along this delightful valley, nestled between the beautiful peaks of the Gurvan Saikhan Mountain and exploring the wildlife of the area. We will first visit the local Gobi museum then trek through the Yol valley to feel the fresh breeze to refresh ourselves. Overnight in host ger with local family. B/L/D
We will travel to Khongor sand dunes which will take 180kms for 4-5hours. Known as Singing sand dunes, the Khongor dunes are up to 300ms high, 18kms wide, and 180kms long. Afternoon we will walk through the Golden sand dunes viewing the surrounding area. The view is incredible from top of the dunes. Overnight in ger camp. B/L/D
Day 6 Visit of nomad family and Bayanzag
We will be visiting a local nomad family conversing about their unique lifestyle of the local area. They’re very hospitable friendly hosts which they will offer a traditional delicacy made of camel’s milk. You can also free to taste other traditional dairy products made of cow’s milk. It is optional to hire a camel riding. Afternoon we will continue travel to Bayanzag which will take 80kms /2hours/. It is a remarkable site of Mongolia where you will able to see a rare saxaul forest, red flaming cliffs and pedestal rocks formed by the Aeolian effects on the sand and rock over millions of years. Overnight in host ger with nomad family. B/L/D
Day 7 Bayanzag-Ongi monatery
Today we will travel to Ongi temple ruin which will take 140km /5 hours/. We will visit the local museum and take a hike around the ruins. The guide will tell you the whole story of the ruins of Ongi Monastery. We will be staying overnight in ger camp by Ongi river. B/L/D
Day 8 Ongi monastery-Orkhon Valley
Today we will drive to Orkhon valley long distance for 7-8hours about 320km. We’ll be leaving the Gobi region and enter the steppe zone rich with greenery compare to the Gobi golden soils. Journey to Orkhon Valley. Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the valley is a land of nomadism and many breeders set their summer camp there. Overnight in ger camp by river. B/L/D
Day 9 Travel to Orkhon Valley
In the morning we will be visiting Ulaan Tsutgalaan water falls, white flood flowing on the black stone(lava stones), transformed in rainbow by a short sun ray. These 16metres falls are just magic! They were formed 20.000 years ago, as a result of a unique combination of earthquakes and volcano eruptions. Afternoon: join nomad family and discovery of the activities bound to yaks breeding and horse riding. We'll participate in making dairy products, we'll attend the making of a Mongolian barbecue and we'll enjoy it for dinner. Overnight in ger camp or with local family by Orkhon river. B/D/L
Day 10 Travel to Tsenkher spa
Toady we will be walk or horse riding visiting Ulan Tsutgalaan falls white flood flowing on the black stone, transformed in rainbow by a short sunray (7km from camp). These 16-metres falls are just magic! They were formed 20.000 years ago, as a result of a unique combination of earthquakes and volcano eruptions. Afternoon visit a local horsemen family where you have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions. Dinner is real authentic Mongolian barbecue, prepared in the traditional style with hot stones. Overnight in the ger camp by Orkhon river . B/L/D
Day 11 Travel to Kharkhorin
Today we will drive to Kharkhorin for 3 hours 130 kms. Journey to Kharkhorin, the former capital of Mongolia. The legendary city of Genghis Khan was founded in 1220 and was one of the stages of the silk road. Visit of Erdene Zuu Monastery, built in 1586 by a nomad prince. The Chinese and Tibetan-inspired buildings are surrounded with 108 sacred stupas. Visit of the Museum of Kharkhorin. Overnight in guest house in kharkhorin. B/D/L
Day 12 Travel to Khustai park
We arrive at the splendid rocky formations of Khogno Khan for 1 hours 80 kms. Discovery of the park: semidesert steppes, taiga, stunning rocky formations, 80 km long sand dunes, are characteristic of this arid area nicknamed "Mini-Gobi". Walk until Erdene Khambiin Monastery. Afternoon we drive to Khustai Reserve for 2 hours 140kms, that houses the Przewalski horses (takh). Twilight is the best moment to observe them. We'll walk until the river where they drink, and observe them with no fear to bother. Overnight in host ger with local family. B/D/L
Day 13 Departure
Early morning we go directly with you to the international airport of Ulaanbaatar. The transfer can be organized at the time you want, according to the schedule of your flight.
